Freaky Friday

Ok I have been helping out a fellow blogger and I have not had time to post anything review wise. However I still want to tell you all about two great books I am looking forward to reading one being...

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
But she, for whatever reason, spares Cas's life.

Hello this is like right up my alley I love love ghosty shows like ghost hunters and ghost adventures so duh I know I would love this book. I am going to leave you hanging on the second book and post that tomorrow. But this book I will be buying and owning most likely this will be a valentines day review. If you have not noticed I try to review books that are 3.99 and under. I am going to try to continue along this path in 2012. I just have this habit of trying to find ways of saving money if I can get a ebook threw my library I will go that way or if I can get it for free I do. So if you notice this about my blog I plan on keeping it up. Enjoy!
Oh and as soon as I edge closer to 100 followers I am going to have a give away..... so keep your eyes pealed

Looking forward to reading this

I Have to say look at this cover I know I have posted this before. I am so excited for this book. If you have not seen this yet read below. You will want to read this.

Blessed with a gift...cursed with a secret.

Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they're witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship - or an early grave.

Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word . . . especially after she finds her mother's diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family's destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.

If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren't safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood - not even from each other.

Saturday Review Post #2

Forget prophecy. Make your own destiny.

Sheltered from the outside world with no hope for escape, slave girl Reychel dreads her fifteenth birthday - when her master’s symbol is burned on the back of her bald scalp. Her best friend disappears the night before, leaving her to face the branding ceremony alone. She soon discovers nothing is as it seems when people desperate for freedom beg for Reychel's help.

Can Reychel learn to believe in herself?

Ok I got this book when it was free on amazon.com right now its .99 and its totally worth it! So I am doing this review as my  Why Buy The Cow reading challenge.

First let me say WOWOWOWOW.....Do you see the cover on this. How could you not want to read it. Just looking at it makes me want to know what the story is.
You come in on this girl blad waking up  to find her friend next to her is missing.  Reychel a slave is tormented all day not knoing where her best friend has gone.Ivy was taken or so Reychel thought all that was left behind was a gold coin. Reychel carries that coin around with her all day long.  Reychel goes about her normal routine of working in a room with no windows. (This girl is not allowed to look out windows are you kidding me).Her master Kandek only allows Reychel to look out the windows in his room when she is asked to tell him stories then he lets the sun and the clouds in for her.
The Day that Ivy is missing is also the day of Reychels Branding yes I said Branding (OWE). She is expecting to go threw the branding alone only  will she.
The escape is the most amazing journey and I didnt think anything else would top it. I was so excited the second Mark stepped in the room the question was he good was he bad.  How the plot twists and turns is well worth the read. I wont give it all away lets just say you wont see it coming.

Just a few pieces of the book that I liked I wanted to share..

out of everything I had seen and experienced, Mark was the key. Without him I wouldn't have doubted Ivy. Without him I may never have discovered my gift. With out him I wouldn't have know what it was like to have the freedom to fall in love.

It's Simple to me. No matter where you go, Reychel, I will find you and I will protect you. You discovered your purpose as the Prophet of the clouds, He paused I discovered my purpose in protecting you.

Mark Grabbed my shoulders and pulled me closer, i lifted my arms and put them around his neck, My bound hands didn't hamper my fingers from twisting into the hair at the nape of his neck

I mean seriously how could you not want your own personal protector who will love you and keep you safe right...  You have to read this book amazing from start to finish! I can only imagine what the second book is going to be like.  I was trying to decide who I would want for a book boyfriend Mark or Grey and i till have not figured it out just yet. Keep your eyes pealed for that.

The Deepest Cut!

Sixteen-year-old Riley Williams has been able to see ghosts since the car crash that took her mother's life and shattered her family. Guilt-ridden over the belief that she's somehow responsible for her mom's death, Riley is desperate to see her mother's elusive spirit to gain her forgiveness.
When her father moves the family to Scotland so they can all start over, Riley believes her life couldn't get worse––that is until the ghost of nineteen-year-old Ian MacKinnon catches her purposely cutting herself. An uneasy truce quickly turns into friendship, and soon Riley's falling hard for Ian.
Riley believes her gift could help Ian end the curse that has kept him tied to the land for centuries, but that would mean letting him go forever and she's not sure she is strong enough to do that. As if her life wasn't complicated enough, the malevolent spirit of the woman who killed Ian returns and she'll stop at nothing to keep Riley from helping Ian find eternal peace.

Loved this book from the start. Riley and her family move to Scotland after her fathers work takes them there. Riley is sixteen and has had a difficult time dealing with her mothers death. Riley and her mom where in a car accident where her mother was killed and Riley was saved . She has lived with the guilt all this time she thinks she is the reason her mom died she thinks that she is what caused the accident.  After the car accident Riley started seeing ghosts. After her move to Scotland she thought she would have a fresh start. Little did she know that wasnt going to be the case. Her father had bought a old inn and in the back yard was a Old castle. After being in the house for only a few moments she see a ghost. She doesnt say anything due to she doesn't want her father and brother thinking she is crazy and putting her back on medication to fight the supposed visions of ghost.
Riley a girl who can see ghosts only to ignore them for now. She is also a cutter someone who cuts to release pain.
She ends up seeing a Ghost who used to live in the Castle. His Name is Ian this is one ghost she cant ignore with his good looks. She was stunned to see him and instantly fell in love with him.  She finds he has a curse on him that is keeping him forever. Will she be able to break it. She runs into the ghost that is keeping Ian here Laria a slave girl who was hung for poisoning Ian. This girl is bad news when ever she is around she tries to take control of Riley's brother Shane.  This book was a good read. I didn't put it done finished it in a day. Really if you like ghosts witches and spells then this is a good book for you. You will grow to like Riley however I thought it was slightly silly that she falls for Ian the ghost. I mean really if someone who couldn't see ghost walks in and sees her kissing thin air really?? That for me was just silly I guess if you can see ghost you can touch them like they are human and they can kiss you back and you can feel it?  I however think for a 99cent book this is a good one. It was worth the time to read it. I do hope that they have a second book to this book it kind of was left hanging like  there should be a second book.  If you have not read this book yet I would say go buy it! Really it is just 99 cents and its good!

A good fast read and a good story line.
