My First ARC Review

So I am SUPER excited to say that I got a chance to read this book. So with out further ado
A modern retelling of the German fairy tale "Tristan and Isolde," Tris and Izzie is about a young witch named Izzie who is dating Mark King, the captain of the basketball team and thinks her life is going swimmingly well. Until -- she makes a love potion for her best friend Brangane and then ends up taking it herself accidentally, and falling in love with Tristan, the new guy at school.    goodreads.com

I first just want to say Thank you Mette Ivie Harrison! This book was amazing I couldn't put it down. It had all the right elements to this book. Love, hate, magic, and action all at the right moments. I have never been so happy to see two characters end up together. I loved Izzie for her trying to stay with mark and not fall for Tris but really come one if you burn for someone then you should go for it. However the steps it took for her to realize who she was really burning for took her awhile. Part of the book I wanted to jump in and go girl what the heck have you not seen him.The other half was like well are you going to kiss him already or what. I loved the way this book flowed I could see each thing as it took place from the "pit" where everyone hangs out, to the school being crushed by a supposed earth quake.  I hope to read a continuation of this story soon I wold love to see what Tris and Izzie are up to in the next book along with the others. I have to say that this is a great YA book with just the right elements in it to keep you reading.

So here is a little Summary from me....

Izzie is just your normal everyday high schooler in love with the star basketball player who is the most popular boy in school and has a great best friend. Izzie's mom well she is a witch and her dad well he died trying to save Izzie.  One day while coming off the bus and walking toward her boyfriend Izzie sees this boy who is just out of place handsome and all she starts falling for him right away. Izzie however had other plans for him. She was going to give her best friend some love potion ( taken from her moms cabinet and give it to him and her) little does she know that she would end up being the one to drink it. Not long after this there are things that start happening around her and Tris. She finds out what she really is and what really happened to her dad.

I enjoyed this book so much I think that I will have to get this book as soon as it come out. One because hello have you seen the cover and two I want to read this again and again. It really was that amazing.

You must go and get this book REALLY ITS AMAZING!

Blind Sided

Let me first say I was not expecting what I got out of this book at all.  I enjoyed this book but it was not something I would have normally read. I was not excited about the way this book went at all. Good story line and all but I guess it was too predictable really. I have nothing against clean books with no sex, curse words, or even thoughts of these things. I however just dont enjoy a book with little or no action and this book had no action. I struggled threw the last half of the book because I already had a feeling of what was going to happen in the book. I guess its more of a tale of love loss and the same love coming back. For me I will say that I wont read this again and this was a week of my time wasted. If your into books that are just straight forward then its for you. If not don't bother.

Jenna and her mom get hit by a drunk driver it kills her mother while leaving Jenna temporary blind. While missing home in Texas she moves in with her cousins Laura and Rowdy. Only to think she has no one she finds her someone in a guy who was on the bus who she insults. As life plays out for her and her cousins well they all end up happily ever after.

I am however excited to share with you all my next few books that I have received but I will save that for tomorrow... Oh next book for review is going to be

Waiting on Wednesday

Hosted By Jill at Breaking the Spine

Some loves are not made to last . . . Like Romeo and Juliet, Heloise and Abelard were doomed from the start, and their romance was destined to pass into history. Yet when sixteen-year-old Callie Martin discovers a diary hidden within an antique book, their story - and hers - takes on another life. For the diary leads Callie to the brilliant and handsome August, who is just as mysterious as the secret the diary hides. Their attraction is undeniable. As the two hunt down the truth behind the diary - and that of Heloise and Abelard's ancient romance - their romance becomes all-consuming. But Callie knows it can't last . . . love never does. Will their love that burns as bright as a shooting star flame out, or will these star-crossed lovers be able to defy history?

Jenny Pox

I have to say this now AMAZING!!!!!!! I loved every part of this book. I felt for Jenny and how she walks around covered so she cant touch anyone. I mean really could you even imagine going a whole day and not being able to touch anyone.

In the opening you read about Jenny as a little girl she is searching for something that she thinks is a rattle only to find its a snake she of course    ends up killing this snake. (not that I minded cause I hate snakes.) From the start you could feel her sadness. As she grows up shes is left alone for the most part except for one instance on the playground. ( I will leave this one for you to read)

As she gets further along she gets into high school of course there is that group of girls the "popular girl" Ashleigh  I will leave out my choice words of her. I knew a girl some what like Ashleigh when I was in school and well she wasn't nice either. I wanted to jump in this book and slap her into a locker and shut it for the rest of the book. I would loved to see the pictures of Jenny and Seth dressed up as zombie vampires I can picture that in my head but to see what it would look like on screen in real life would be amazing. Oh Seth I almost forgot what an amazing boy to stand by Jenny the popular football player falling for the outcast girl. After he saves her dog they are insuperable. That is as long as Ashleigh doesn't try to throw herself at him. Jenny finds someone who loves her for her and someone she can touch. Amazing teenage love story from start to finish a little teenage drinking and sex in this book but really anymore that's kind of common in books.

I want to thank the Bookish Brunette for the blog post she did of this book because with out her post I wouldn't have found this book. http://bookish-brunette.blogspot.com/ seriously if you have not checked her out please do. Shes got amazing picks. With out her and a few other great blog friends I don't know if I would have continued this blog. Ok so teats all for now.

Next book for me is going to be
This book sounds amazing and its time for this one!
BTW so you guys know I will have a web cam soon so that I can do some v blogs. Here is the thing though I don't have any book books right now everything I read is on the kindle. That is all about to change though with some help from Kristen at http://www.strawberrysplashreviews.com/ I love you for the give away books and cant wait to receive them in the mail! I am hoping that this will be good. I picked it up because it was one free and two it looks like something fun. I needed to get outta my realm.

Who else could want to read a book about working in a hotel in paradise. ME thats who. I mean come on when you live in the midwest all you can do is dream of the ocean. So this may be my escape day.

Because everyone is reading it. It looks amazing.

Another one that sounds good. I think that a turn of the century book is in demand for me. I am not sure if I will like this one or not. But I am going to give it a try...

Saturday Review Post

UNLOVABLE= A Freaking MAZING

This book blew me away. From start to finish I have never wanted to cry for a person so much. Maggie was just a girl who was so hidden she didn't even know herself. Withered away to nothing because she would rather feed and take care of her worthless mother then to feed herself. Her mother a drunk who does nothing but sleep and drink. She never let her daughter in or let her know she was loved. Maggie in my mind is very pretty I think of Fiona Apple when I picture Maggie. I loved reading this story from her point of view and then from Seth's point of view. Seth wow is all I can say I picture such a wonderful looking guy. I feel for him at first his shyness but I also don't like him either. Parts of me didn't understand why he lets the cheerleader Hillary hang all over him. I mean hello you like Maggie stop making her hurt worse. I however give him credit for making a attempt to get to Maggie and trying to make her feel special. Maggie however does have a issue of doing  what people want of her so that she doesn't want anyone to think bad of her. When it came to her and Zak wanted to punch him so hard. Now Seth on the other hand wow I have never wanted to jump in a book so badly and just want to be his girl friend. They way he holds her and the way he takes care of her. This book had the right amount of love, romance, mystery, suspense and sadness. I however have to say the part where Bill and Alan kill this little old man kinda makes me sick. I wasn't in to that part I think that's because I work around old people all day long. So if this is on your TBR list I say pick it up read it and read it again it was an amazing book.

From amazon.com
Unlovable is the debut novel for author Sherry Gammon, and is the first novel in the Port Fare Series.

Seth Prescott is an undercover cop assigned to Port Fare High, and despite his job, he’s developed strong feelings for Maggie.
Seth’s working tirelessly to flush out the sadistic drug peddlers that have invaded the small town of Port Fare, New York, while Maggie fights to stay alive as the search turns deadly.

Follow Me Friday!

Hosted By Parajunkee's View

Q. How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently?

A: I read a little bit not as much as I did when I was a teen.I have to say I still stay inside the genera of what I read back then. I however had this really really bad attachment to VC Andrews I vowed to read them all. HA HA that never happened. I also did enjoy the books we read in english class one of them being To Kill A Mockingbird and of course The Diary Of Anne Frank.

Waiting on Wednesday

Well I was excited before I got my email from amazon.com  of upcoming fall books. Now I am even more excited  I love fall because it means reading with my windows open on my front porch with the birds singing. Now I enjoy summer reading but there is something about the smell of fall and the leaves I love it. So on to the book of choice for this waiting on Wednesday! ISSSSSS

I mean seriously just by looking at the cover of this book it looks like its going to be freaking sweet. So here is a little about it from amazon
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des RĂªves, and it is only open at night.

But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway—a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love—a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whenever they so much as brush hands.

True love or not, the game must play out, and the fates of everyone involved, from the cast of extraordinary circus performers to the patrons, hang in the balance, suspended as precariously as the daring acrobats overhead.

Written in rich, seductive prose, this spell-casting novel is a feast for the senses and the heart.

Sounds amazing I think I may just have to buy this one and soon!

Sunday Fun Day Review

That's right I finished Forgotten April By Robyn Bradley! I have to say first the cover doesn't do this book justice. I know your all saying never judge a book by its cover but come on sometime you just do! I also know it has been a little bit since I finished my last book. Sorry crazy family drama and what not going on but now that's all taken care of I hope. Now on to my review of this book. I made sure to take notes to now so my reviews would be a little more well better! Ok so with all that lets dive in. I thought from reading the description of the book that this was going to be a little different however I was not disappointed in it at all. It was a little hard to get into cause in many ways who in the hell wants to be depressed the whole time. Seriously I read the first few pages and almost gave up.  April has no clue she has a sister only to find out she does and this sister is a Maggie Prescott a TV news anchor. I come from a family where we are kind of split my dad has two girls with his ex wife who well they just kinda of popped up one day so I can understand where April is coming from but still. So Maggie wants to take care of there mother who is in a Nursing home that April works in Kate is her name she has Alzheimer and cant remember anything.  As the story goes on it does tend to jump around from person to person but it ties in nicely. Maggie while doing her show never notices the guy standing behind her on the other side of the window at the nursing home until she watches it in the editing stage and that's when your introduced to Nigel. Ok who cant love a guy with a accent well he has got one. You learn more of him and Maggie's ties as you read on. Hazel is a the lady that in the end almost seems like she is the puppet master not in a bad way. She holds all the cards to each and every person that she holds dear and after her passing they play out just perfect.  When I was reading and your introduced to Hugh I pictured Shaun Connery hello cause he is a hot old dude well kinda.
I about die reading the parts about Aprils husband and son passing it kills me that in her grieving she kinda looses it by waking up in the middle of the night and placing her sons toys out only so he can trip over them in the morning like her son came back and put them there for her.
I find so may things  in April and Maggie the way they hold their emotions for each other and people around them.
I did find a few funny things in the book for you here are a few
"Just because I am who I am doesn't mean I always get my way. Nor does it make me a complete bitch or a diva" -Maggie
"eight pound of pooping pile of flesh"
"Don't Settle for anything less then magic" now it that were true!

I have to say a lot of things keep this book moving along the different relationships that each person carries and the way that they all tie in its amazing. If you are wanting a heart warming story this is one that is just that Happy ending and all. It gives you that little bit of sadness only to bring back the love you feel for these people. I think that anyone who reads this book can find away to relate to this book.

VERY GOOD I WOULD READ AGAIN. I hope you enjoyed!

Waiting on Wednesday

Ok so I am excited I think last week I mentioned this guy on my Follow me Friday. Now I know its fate that I said something about him. Because most of the women in the world who are into the paranormal watch to see if this guy will take his shirt off. I however cant say that I WOULDN'T mind seeing that myself. I however love love love the paranormal. I know some people don't believe and that's fine I would never push my views on them. I however have had my own experiences growning up in one of the house we lived in. That is a story for another day. Let me get back on track. I am super excited for this book to be released and would love to be one of the first to read it but hey I will settle for being one of the millions to read it.

I love the cover this looks like it will be amazing!
Little bits of it from amazon.com
It's easy to say ghosts exist or don't exist. Anyone can do that. Trying to figure out the why or what is a different story. Paranormal investigator Zak Bagans, host of the popular Travel Channel series Ghost Adventures, pulls from his years of experience with paranormal activities and unexplained phenomena to provide an evenhanded look at a divisive subject. In Dark World, regardless of whether you believe in the afterlife or not, Zak does his best to find and share answers to the phenomena that people encounter. He wants you to experience a haunting through his eyes: to feel what it's like to be scared, freaked out, pushed, cold, sluggish, whispered-at and touched by an ethereal being or attacked by a demonic spirit. But beyond simply experiencing these events, Zak is looking for the reasons behind them, searching for answers to the unanswered questions. Addressing all the major issues and theories of the field in an impartial way, Dark World is a must read for paranormal enthusiasts, those who don't believe and anyone who's ever wondered about things that go bump in the night.

About the Author

Zak Bagans never believed in ghosts until he came face to face with one during a terrifying incident in a Michigan apartment. Not the passive type, Zak set out to learn more about the paranormal. In 2004 he produced an award-winning documentary film that changed his life and the lives of many others when he captured one of the most shocking pieces of paranormal evidence ever. Now the host of two top-rated paranormal television shows, Bagans has conducted hundreds of investigations into the unknown, becoming intimately familiar with the places ordinary people will not go.

Kelly Crigger is not a paranormal investigator, but has been intrigued by the paranormal for many years and has conducted several investigations alongside Zak. He is the author of three books, including Title Shot, and over two hundred internet and print articles. Crigger retired from the US Army in 2011 after 24 years in uniform.
