Until -- she makes a love potion for her best friend Brangane and then ends up taking it herself accidentally, and falling in love with Tristan, the new guy at school.

Saturday Review Day

Ok lets say first that last night I went to Michael Buble's Concert and he is one hell of a show man. That was the best concert I have been to. So with that out of the way lets get this under way!

Well its Saturday and review day! I have a few reviews of books that I have just finished up not that long ago. Book Number one on the block is Lisa Wisdom's Demons are A Girls Best Friend  I have to say that girls who kick ass rocks! This book gets you into the action right away!
Loved this book! If you like books on Witches and Demons who fall for one another and save a life at the same time you will like this book!  I however was a little disappointed it doesn't have one to follow. That is the only piece that I think is missing.
Some snips of the book for you that I loved

"My Dreams usually involve old boyfriends who suddenly sprout fangs and fur" Maggie said
"We're the SEALS, Recon, Green berets, Ranger and Black Ops rolled into one violent package. We do the dirty work and make things go away."

The way she wrote this book held my interest. However I was hoping for a little more mystery behind it but that maybe due to the fact that I have read a lot of James Patterson Novels in the past.
Great book very Fast read if your looking for a rainy day book.

With that being Said on to the next book. This one falls out of the Paranormal Urban Fantasy realm that I am in normally and this is just more of a Suspense/Mystery book.  So Drum Roll please!!!!!
I give you Poor Little Bitch Girl by Jackie Collins! Not bad I liked it but not a lot. would I recommend spending the 7.99 on it most likely not. If it was a 2.99 yes I would.
This book has a chapter for each person in the book and sometimes skips around with out context. I however did enjoy the story. It does keep the story going for each of the 3 girls and they could have maybe been split up into 3 different books.  I know that there is a series and I think this is the last book. I however don't think I would read any of the others.  I do however find it funny that one of the people in this book is a lady gaga sounding girl but a little more hard core. If you like sex drugs and murder then you get a little taste of it in this book and more.
A little snip from it here you go.
Three twenty-something women, one hot rich guy, two mega movie stars, and a devastating murder: Poor Little Bitch Girl has it all.

Thrylle Trilogy

Switched By Amanda Hocking. I have to say I give it two thumbs up. I really didn't know what to expect when I downloaded this on to my kindle. How ever after the first few pages she had me hook line sinker. Sucked in! You can see Hockings love for John Hughes movies in this book you can see it being a movie.  This is the first book in her Thrylle Series and the whole series is just as amazing as this book.
“Finn: I look at you because I can't look away.Wendy: That's kinda creepy.Finn: I will work on being less creepy then.”
“Finn was here, but he had made it perfectly clear that his only interest in me was business."
Its a story of a girl who on her 6th birthday her mom is welding a knife at her. She later finds out she is a changeling and from there her life changed.

The second book in the Thrylle Series. Amanda did it again another two thumbs up. Loved this book and where it takes you. Thank you Amanda for writing these books. I had not really read anything urban fantasy until these books. A million Thank Yous! This book is perfect for someone ages 16 and up. I really enjoyed this one. Great story line again. I was hoping for some more action and with this book I got just that great action. I felt like I was right in there running down the stairs and fighting along side of them.

"I don’t need love or a man to complete me, and someday, you’ll find that’s true for yourself. Suitors will come and go, but you will remain"

Last but not least Ascend! I was a little slow getting into this book. I think  it was hard for me because the action was not there right away. I was sucked in the second book and with the third one it took a little while for me.  Once in it got better I was hoping for a different ending. However I seen it coming.

If your looking for a starter series to get you into a urban fantasy book this is a good starter set up. Very good if your looking for something for you teen age daughter to read. Loved this set!

Welcome

Welcome to my first book blog. OK I shouldn't say first because I had one for about 3 days on another site. I forgot how easy this site was compared to the other. Anyways on to this site I am super stoked to be here and ready to post favorite books and reviews. I want to get a few things out of the way right now I read when I can because I am currently working full time and a mommy to my wonderful two year old Lydia. We enjoy a lot of mommy daughter time. I just got into the genera of urban fantasy and paranormal romance. However I have been a huge fan of all things witches, warlocks, fairies, vampires, and anything that is super human for as long as I can remember. I don't have a huge collection of books yet but I have a kindle and its getting there with books right now.
I have to say if your looking at getting a ereader I suggest it highly I mean I can take 20 books with me and really only have to carry one. Its great!
I hope you all enjoy this blog and find it useful when it comes to deciding on purchasing a book! I am super excited and hope I can be of some help.  So here goes nothing lets hope for the best. Have a uber great time and sit back and enjoy the ride!
